Today we shipped two very different things. One is almost a toy — a 3D museum for our own products. The other is the most serious thing we've done so far: a Pro plan for UluP Spaces that's actually worth paying for, not just a longer feature list.
Why a museum, not a node graph
A few weeks ago I watched a video about why the metaverse never really took off, and one line stuck with me: nobody wants a 3D world for its own sake. They want a *reason* to be there.
So instead of building another 3D world, we built a room.
UluP Universe (`/universe`) is a small gallery you can walk through right in your browser — no headset, no install. Six pedestals, one for each product we've shipped: Spaces at the center, Focus, Noah Clue, Desktop, Life, Spatial, and Ulupy arranged around it. Real spotlights on each piece, dust catching in the light beams, a floor reflective enough that you can see the pedestals in it. Click a piece and it opens the same info you'd get on a normal product page — just somewhere you'd rather be than a normal product page.
The first version was closer to a network graph — floating spheres connected by lines. It looked like a diagram, not a museum, so we tore it down and rebuilt it: solid ground, a real path between the pieces, product icons that always face you no matter where you're standing. If you've got a headset, there's an "Enter VR" button too — same engine we use for UluP Spatial.
It's not going to replace our homepage — that one still needs to load in half a second and convert. This is the version for people who already like us enough to stick around and explore.
A Pro plan that means something
Free was never going to be the whole story for Spaces, but until today "Pro" mostly meant a longer feature list without much behind it. That changes now.
UluP Share, our public read-only pages, moves from "1 link, view-only" to something you can actually run a business on: unlimited active share links, an optional 3D view alongside the usual 2D map, a password if the page shouldn't be fully public, an expiration date if it's only relevant for a while, and view analytics so you know whether anyone's actually looking. Pro pages also drop the "Made with UluP Spaces" footer.
We also rebuilt project history: every snapshot is still saved on Free, but restoring anything older than 7 days is a Pro feature — nothing is ever deleted, you just get the full timeline back when you need it. And the project cap is gone: 3 projects becomes unlimited.
Pro is €6.99/month or €59/year. Real-time collaboration, GitHub sync, and the calendar stay free for everyone — those aren't the kind of thing we think should be behind a paywall.
