Until now, the Pomodoro timer in Spaces did its job and then vanished: you finished a session and nothing was left of that time. Version 4.5 changes that.
Focus sessions
Every time you start the timer on a task, the session is saved. Not only when you reach the end: if you stop halfway, the time you actually put in still counts and is stored as an interrupted session.
If you close the app while the timer is running, you don't lose it either. The next time you open Spaces, it picks the session back up and marks it as interrupted.
Where you see them
- In your profile, a new card with your focus time for today, this week (which starts on Monday) and in total, plus how many sessions you completed and how many you interrupted.
- In the node panel, a line showing the focus time you've spent on that node.
These sessions are yours: you see your own focus, not other people's.
A tutorial inside Spaces
Profile stats have always had a few hidden rules: how you earn a role, what it takes to unlock an achievement. We put them on a map.
It's called "Your profile stats, explained" and it's a community template. Find it on the templates page and hit "Use this template" to clone it into a project of your own. It's six connected nodes, one per topic:
1. the numbers in your profile and where they come from 2. roles, from Explorer to Architect, and what it takes to reach each one 3. achievements and their conditions 4. focus today, this week and in total 5. completed vs interrupted sessions 6. where to find it all
Each node has a small checklist, so you can also use the map as a to-do list of things to try.
If something doesn't add up, or there's a stat you'd like to see, tell us.
