UluP Focus was my first published app, back in June. It made sense on its own: goals, tasks, a Pomodoro timer. But once UluP Spaces existed, I ended up with two separate databases doing almost the same thing, and an app nobody was really using anymore.
Today I rebuilt it from scratch, this time with a clear purpose.
No more database of its own
UluP Focus now points at the same database as UluP Spaces. Same account, same login: open Focus and your projects are already there, nothing to import by hand. The notes and attachments you write on a task from Focus are the same ones you see opening that task in Spaces, because they're literally the same row in the same database.
The one genuinely new piece is a table for timed sessions: that never made sense living inside Spaces, but it does inside Focus.
One project at a time, as a flat list
On Spaces you work on a map of connected nodes. On Focus you pick a project and see its tasks as a single list, no rest of the map in the way. Then you time yourself, one task at a time, with a classic Pomodoro: focus, short break, long break.
Stats stay personal: total time, completed sessions, your own streak of consecutive days, independent of anyone else working on the same project with you.
A page of its own
Focus now has a real product page on this site, ulupstudio.com/focus, instead of being linked only in passing. I pulled it from the Microsoft Store: what's left is the web and an Android apk you can download directly from the site.
It's no longer a standalone app. It's how I sit down to work on the projects I've already mapped elsewhere.
