The new UluP Spatial: your projects as a galaxy, with just your hands

UluP Spatial is the version of UluP Spaces that lives in mixed reality: the map of your projects is no longer on a screen, you stand inside it. You can already try the WebXR version today, also available on the Meta Horizon Store. Meanwhile we're building a new version, designed from scratch for Meta Quest, and we want to show you what it looks like.

What it is, in short

It's a space to inhabit, not an app to open. Every project is a star, and ideas are nodes you can grab, move and link. No controllers needed: your hands are enough.

How it works

  • A galaxy of projects. When you start, your projects appear as stars. Pinch one and you step inside, finding your map of nodes.
  • Nodes you link with your hands. Take two nodes, one in each hand, and bring them together: they link, and the connection is saved.
  • A panel on your wrist. Tap a node and its details appear like a small watch, with tasks, notes and a timer. If you want more room, detach it and place it wherever you like.
  • Your voice. You can create a node or a task by speaking, right on the headset.
  • Sound. Every gesture has a small sound, and you can turn them off in the settings, which you'll find as a grey star in the galaxy.

Passthrough or virtual reality

You always start in the real room, in passthrough. When you want to leave the world behind, spread your arms and the sky opens: you step into a virtual environment, choosing from five backgrounds, one of them animated, with twinkling stars and the occasional shooting star. To come back, bring your hands together.

The same account as UluP Spaces

Spatial uses the same projects as UluP Spaces. What you map on your computer is waiting for you in 3D on the headset, and the other way around.

Where we are

The WebXR version is available now, also on the Meta Horizon Store. The new native version is still in progress and hasn't been released: the video in the post shows exactly that one. If you have a Quest and want to tell us what you think, or what you'd like to do with it, get in touch.
