How I Built an Interconnected Software Ecosystem in 4 Months: The UluP Story

!UluP Studio

In just four months, I built an interconnected software ecosystem. Here's the story of how it happened.

The beginning: UluP Project

The idea for UluP was born in February 2026, when a professional contact asked me to bring him a software project, promising to help me develop it. That very evening, I sketched out the UluP Project on paper. The core concept was simple: a social network where users helped one another to earn points, effectively transforming the platform into a workspace.

I created the initial logo sketch and the first pitch deck — all in a few hours — and presented them to him a few days later. He thought it was a great idea but turned it down, believing it was impossible to develop. I was disappointed but also driven; I truly believed in the vision.

While working my day job, I carved out hours to make it happen, moving from that February start to the official launch in April. It was a fully functional social network built on the philosophy that "dreams = reality." It featured private and community messaging, as well as the exchange of images, audio, and attachments. A friend mentioned his dream of having an online store for his custom clothing, so I built one for him right within his community — a challenging yet fun experience.

From UluP Focus to UluP Studio

After a few months of refinements, June saw the birth of UluP Focus. Initially, it was more of a test to see how I could build a product; I enjoyed the process, even though the tool doesn't offer much today (I plan to rebuild it soon to integrate it into the ecosystem). UluP Focus paved the way for UluP Studio and the concept of an ecosystem.

UluP Spaces

The first actual product was UluP Spaces: it took the heart of the original UluP Project — dreams, mutual aid, and collaboration — and embedded it into a genuine workspace where users could share and collaborate in real-time with friends, colleagues, and even AI.

It launched on July 31, 2026, on Product Hunt, the web, and the Microsoft Store, followed by an official Android release via the Google Play Store. I spent all of August refining it, adding features, and planning distribution and marketing; we've now reached version 3.0, with a redesign on the horizon and a second Product Hunt launch coming up this Tuesday.

UluP Desktop

Towards the end of July, I started working on UluP Desktop, which launched in early September. It treats your files and PC components as nodes to be connected, featuring integrated local AI (Claude Code) that can read, create, and even export these files as nodes into UluP Spaces — meaning PC folders move into UluP Desktop and can be sent to Spaces for collaboration and sharing.

UluP Life

Then, just a few days ago, UluP Life was released — taking things in the opposite direction. It's not about work, but life, memories, and dreams. Things that are abstract yet incredibly concrete — meant to be noted down, connected, and categorized; a place to watch stars shine and see extinguished stars light up again on specific dates.

You can connect AI to get insights on your stars and create new ones using prompts. You can upload your own images, export everything as a poster-style image, and export to Spaces — where they become stars rather than just nodes, giving you access to all of Spaces' features.

That's not all; I have plenty more ideas in mind!
