A few days ago, I launched UluP Desktop on Product Hunt. It was a quiet day for it: one vote, buried under eight other AI products competing for attention. If you'd asked me that afternoon how the week would end, "shipping an entirely new product" would not have been my answer.
But that evening, instead of closing the laptop, I started sketching something different.
Not another productivity tool
UluP Spaces and UluP Desktop exist to help people organize work. Projects, tasks, files, the stuff you have to get done. UluP Life started from the opposite question: what if there was a tool for the stuff you don't have to do anything about, the moments that already happened, the ones worth remembering?
The idea was simple enough to say in one sentence: every meaningful moment in your life becomes a star, and together they form a constellation. Not a list. Not a grid. A shape that grows the way a life actually grows, unevenly, with gaps, with a few moments that shine brighter than the rest.
Built in public, for real
What followed was one of the most intense stretches of building I've had since starting UluP Studio. In the space of about a week, the core canvas came together (stars, glow, connections, a real visual identity instead of a generic dark-mode template), dates became flexible (because not every memory comes with an exact day attached), photos started appearing as small polaroids above each star, and "time capsules" let you mark goals and dreams that haven't happened yet, unlit until they do.
We also built a real login system shared with the rest of the UluP ecosystem, direct export into UluP Spaces so a constellation can become a real project (stars and all, not generic nodes), and, maybe the part I'm proudest of, a full MCP server so Claude can create or search your memories just by being told about them in conversation.
Along the way, we found and fixed a real security issue, audited every database table for proper access control, and packaged the whole thing for the Microsoft Store. It was approved in under thirty minutes.
Why it matters to me
I've talked before about how I ended up here: someone once told me I wasn't capable of learning to code. UluP Life is, in a strange way, proof of how far that's gone since then, not because it's technically impressive (though I think it is), but because of what it's for. It's not a tool that makes anyone more productive. It exists purely so people can look back at their own life and see something worth remembering.
