UluP SDK Studio: automate UluP Spaces without writing a single line of code

For a few weeks now I've been chewing on a question: what if anyone, even without knowing how to code, could make UluP Spaces react to what happens inside their own projects?

Today that question has an answer: UluP SDK Studio.

What it is, in short

SDK Studio is a visual editor — no code, no arcane configuration — where you build automations: "when X happens, do Y." UluP Spaces handles the rest for you, in the background, every time that event actually happens in your project.

An automation always has two parts:

  • a Trigger, the event that starts it (you create a node, complete a task, connect two elements...)
  • a chain of Actions, what happens as a result (create another node, add a task, send a notification...)

You drag them, chain them, configure a few fields. No code editor, no syntax to learn.

Why I built it

The original idea was more technical: automations internal to Spaces, for people already using the REST API or the MCP integration. But talking it through, I realized the real need was different: connecting Spaces to the rest of people's digital world. Discord, Slack, their own tools — without ever needing to know what a webhook is.

That's how the most versatile action of them all was born, "Send notification": you write a plain message, the way you'd write to a friend, and SDK Studio turns it into whatever format Discord or Slack expects, on its own. If you're a developer and want full control instead, you can always switch to advanced mode and write the JSON payload by hand. Simple for those who want simple, powerful for those who want power — no compromise on either side.

A few concrete examples

  • "When I create an urgent node, ping me on Discord" — trigger on node creation, condition "name contains *urgent*", notification action.
  • "Every new project starts with a checklist already in place" — trigger on project creation, action creates a "Welcome" node followed by a task with the first steps to take.
  • "Know when a task is done, without checking by hand" — trigger on task completion, notification to Slack.

The editor also has a full tutorial, in Italian and English, with these examples and more — a button, always visible, for anyone who wants to understand how it all works without having to ask me.

What if I want to share what I built?

This is my favorite part: any automation can be published to the public directory of UluP Spaces. I review it myself, and once approved, anyone who finds it can import it straight into their own account with one click — ready to customize, not just to look at.

It's the same spirit I already used for project templates: what you build doesn't stay locked away — if you want, it becomes something that helps other people too.

What's still missing

SDK Studio is alive, but it's not finished. In the coming days:

  • a "try before you activate" mode, to see what an automation would do without risking anything on real data
  • new, richer actions and conditions
  • (maybe) an action that uses AI to automatically suggest a project's next steps

If you have UluP Spaces, you'll find it already in the sidebar under "SDK Studio." If you haven't tried it yet, now's the time.
